The wires going the barrel connector on my daughters Ibook have come apart. I could solder them if is could get to them in the barrel connectgor. It appears to be molded and not accesable. Is there a source for the barrel connector out there?

I'm assuming you're talking about the power connection. Is this on the power cable or on the iBook itself? Your best bet is to search eBay for a dead unit with a good barrel connector.

Unless you are certain that you will get the polarity right, I'd order a new power supply; either from Apple directly or see if you can get on on eBay (I'd go with new myself). Get the wires backwards and who knows what will happen to your iBook.
