The education discount is 10% on all hardware except for entry level Macbook (5% dis). I have many times with the education discount. They just see your college id and do not go about verifying anything more than that. Happy shopping.

If you go to Apple's online store and scroll down on the right side there's a link for education. You can click that and see the discounted prices on everything there.

It is usually 10%, but a good amount of CA college campus bookstore offers 15% discount (15% at my school for the MBP)

Not sure how many of you have tried to purchase more than one computer per year (Like the terms of agreement spells out)...but if you're honest about your school affiliation it will not give you a discount on your second computer purchase.

If you're a legitimate student or educator why shouldn't you take advantage of the discount?

That's not what they were saying. They were refering to the original poster not actually being a student, and trying to take advantage of a discount that they're not necessarily entitled to.

It's "college." Collage is a kind of artwork. When using the education store at the Apple Store online, you certify that you are indeed a student. So what you're asking about is fraud. Should have bought before your wife quit school.
