Yes, the one post I was dreading more than anything.

So I got my DL Superdrive and with the crappiest instructions ever from OWC I wind up
trying to pull the ribbon out on my 17" PB 1.33, and like a moron wind up lifting the plastic holding all the connectors right off the board itself. How I managed to pull all the teeth apart from the board I don't know. nvm.

Safe to say my Logic/Mother board is completely shot, and if that's the case, am I better off getting it
fixed at this point or getting an iBook? I mean seriously, wouldn't that have more power and a future than any PB at this time???

If I should try to get it fixed, where should I look to and what am I looking at???

bummer.

No cheap solution here. Either way seems costly. I would go with a macbook. A used CD is rather inexpensive and is a step up in chip speed, although a step down in screen size and graphics, compared to your dead one.
