I cannot express how satisfied I am with my MacBook. I had an issue where it didn't boot properly and had to take it into the Apple store a few times and they were always helpful/friendly to me and I ended up with a Core2Duo out of it.. I'm in school and I take the computer with me because I just love using it. I find myself using stickies all the time because it's a quick writing program that boots quickly. Burning a CD into iTunes takes minutes, maybe even seconds. I bought this computer when I had a chance to make an OS switch and I don't see myself ever going back to the Windows side.

I agree! I am a computer system specialist and I have worked on bothe platforms, windows and Mac and I prefer to work on Mac (or any Unix based system) because they are stable systems compared to windows, although windows have gone through improvements, it is far from perfect. OSX is amazing and a pleasant OS to work with and to look at. Vista looks nice, but is a massive resource hog! (7GB for the OS alone and 1GB RAM), OSX does not require these resource thanks to its Unix core.
How to convert hard core windows users to Mac? Its not going to be easy, but they will find its usefulness someday! It is mainly because they do not want to learn the OS which is not hard to use, especially if you learn it using the voice over utility, it walks you through everything on the computer. I cant say more than OSX is an amazing OS and it can outperform windows anytime. XP and vista hav eimproved security, but so does OSX, the greatest use I see with OSX is OSX server and using Xgrid for the servers, which links many macs into a supercomputer, Windows server 2003 can only do this in Datacenter edition, standard, web and enterprise cannot, Datacenter is expensive and not widely used. This give Mac's OSX server an edge over windows server versions!
It is my hope that many more users see mac as the future in computers!

I think I will chime in as well. I'm a network admin for a pretty large company. Had all the msce classes and support windows clients and severs all day. It's so nice to come home and use osx. Most of my coworkers dog macs all day until I finally asked them have you used a mac recently. Of course it was NO. I brought my macbook in and they all said it was sweet. I'm looking at deploying a couple macs to see how it goes. I have slowly switched all my computers over to macs. Im so glad I don't have to put up with the windows crap at home. I think after Vista, Microsoft has had so many years to get it right and people are always like well wait till the next release. Well it's been a couple decades now and Windows still sucks. I think people are finally waking up and switching to osx. I can feel it. This year will be big for Apple.

I am also a systems specialist for a large entertainment company. I've been a longtime Windows proponent. Up until the release of the Intel based Macs, there was never a reason to switch for me because I wasn't doing too much creative work... and the Power series of processors never quite impressed me. Well to put a long story short... working with the new Intel Macs has won me over. I recently placed an order for my first Mac (a C2D 2.0 GHz White Macbook). It is a bright new day.

Yeah, that's typical of the mindless Microsoft drones that infest corporate IT departments.
Hey, I say use whatever computing platform best meets your needs, but the amount of ignorance out there drives me nuts. Macs are the best choice for many, many users, yet they never give the platform a serious look because of long-held misconceptions or just a simple lack of knowledge. And that's too bad.
And it's not only Apple that's affected. I recently had to plead with a friend of mine who is an IT director (!!!) to even try Firefox on his home computer. He had no idea what Firefox was or what benefits it offered. And these people are running our IT operations? Scary. The lack of experimentation, curiosity, or even a basic knowledge of technology trends in corporate IT departments today is horrifying.
Fortunately I hear more and more people talking about Macs for the very first time.
Microsoft is in big trouble the day people actually try thinking for themselves for a change.
