This is specifically in regards to the macbook pro.

Here's the deal, as most people know Samsung released LED-LCD panels.
Here's a good link:

It seems that the Samsung 15.4 inch LED-LCD only covers 45% of the NTSC Color Gamut? How does this compare to Apple's current offerings? ANYONE KNOW?

I wish their 15.4" LED-LCD would cover 111% of the NTSC color gamut (like their 30"). Oh well. All I want to know is how it compares to the current offerings, because I don't think Apple will introduce a display on their pro laptops that decreases color gamut.

Thanks all for the quick replies. This forum rocks.

Anyway, it looks like Apple will then go for the 15.4" Samsung LEC-LCD, as color space stays the same but brightness (especially over time), and battery life would be improved.

Cool.
