Hi everyone, the time has come to make the switch to mac for me, however i'm not too sure on what to get. Im thinking on getting a MacBook with the following-

* 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 1GB memory
* 80GB hard drive1
* Double-layer SuperDrive

So now on the ?'s......
1. How would this computer handle programs like Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, Adobe Photoshop CS2, flash 8 and all that good stuff?

2. Do MBooks have pci slots?

3. Can i Plug my Monitor into the MacBook?

We'll thats pretty much all that i can think of right now. But i plan on geting an external HD.

Thanks
-RJ

1. You'll want 2GB RAM.

2. No; the only expansion is USB2 and FW400.

3. Yes.

i would suggest getting a macbook pro IMHO. With the integrated graphics in the MB, you won't be happy . especially when editing video. Video is my job, its how I get paid, and if I don't have a computer that is completely up to the task of editing, I'm not running as efficient as I could be.

If your an amature videographer, then I'm sure the macbook will do fine...but if you are doing this for more than personal gain, I would suggest getting the MBP with 2GB of ram and the non-integrated graphics.
