Hi all.

I have done a quick search on a couple of online shops for this, and it seems to be ok - but am just looking for confirmation.

I have a Macbook Pro that I bought with the standard 1gig of RAM. I then upgraded it to 2gig myself.

My grlfriends PC died horribly over the lastr week, so I siezed the opportunity to introduce her to Mac. We got the standard model, with 512 RAM and I'd like to upgrade her to a gig. I still have the old RAM from my MBP - can I just install that for her?

Has anyone tried this or is able to confirm for me that the RAM is compatible?

Any help greatly appreciated.

It will work just fine
any sodimm ddr2 pc5300 will work, try to get her a match pair 2x512 instead of 1x256 1x512 for somewhat better performance.

FYI all the Intel Macs (except the Mac Pro and Xserve) use the same memory.
