Where do you buy the cable to allow a MacBook mini-DVI to display on a TV or non-VGA projector using RCA cables? I've googled and can't find them but perhaps I'm searching for the wrong terminology. Or is this only for the MBP?

I wonder if this would work:

The Apple Store (U.S.) - Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter

I tried searching for mini-DVI to Video (not TV-out as before) since the MBP version is called DVI to video and found that. It doesn't mention the MacBook, but I think it should. Any comments?

Sorry to type and run, but I'm just about to head to class. Looks like what you need to do is get a mini-DVI to DVI cable, then DVI to composite (RCA) or component or whatever you need to connect to. Kind of a hack around but it would work.

The Apple store says that adapter is specifically compatible with MacBooks.

The other adapter that is specific to Mac Pros and MacBook Pros is a DVI-to-video adapter and won't work on the MacBook as that laptop doesn't have a full-size DVI port.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...
