I have had some people from here say that the programs will run fine but the apple guy from my school is telling me they wont run. Right on the Tech Specs pages for both Aperture and Final Cut Pro, the MacBook is listed as well as the Intel GMA graphics processor as supported computers/graphic units.

The guy from your school might be saying that because what they have in stock are older PowerPC versions of the software. Technically it would run on a macbook, but it wouldn't run well. Thats the first thing that comes to mind anyway.

ok well i dont know to much about mac's but these are the requirements for fcp-

Macintosh computer with 867MHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, or Intel Core Duo processor; HD features require 1GHz or faster single or dual processors (authoring HD DVDs requires a PowerPC G5 or Intel Core Duo processor)

Now the requirements for motion-

standard graphics card found in any Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac Intel Core Duo, Power Mac G5, iMac G5, a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerBook G4, or a 1.25 GHz or faster flat-panel iMac.

.... and i did just notice the macbook on the apeture, sorry. But im not sure if im looking in the wrong place or if its just because their not labeling it "macbook" under requirements?

Uh...MacBooks have Intel Core Duo processors...I'm sure they did that, rather than list every single model since the first 867MHz PPC G4 Mac.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...
