Hey Folks,

Well, after long debate and a ton of reading on this website and more research done on others, I've decided that the extra $600 for a MBPro is worth it. Having that decision out of the way now yields inquiry further into the operating system; namely, when should we realistically expect to see OS 10.5 or Leopard on a newly purchased laptop?

I know about the speculating rumours, and although we're currently "mid-cycle" in the upgrading/improvement stages of the MB's and MBPro's, are we still looking at around 80 to 100 days before we see anything?

I would just be pretty peeved if a new OS or update of Tiger came out on day 31 after purchasing. As a note, I'm ideally buying within the next week, but could extend it until the third week of March...

Any and all serious hypotheses or insider views appreciated!

I don't see Leopard coming out for a couple of months. My guess is a June release from the reports I have read. I say go get the beauty, and enjoy. Tiger is a wicked system!

I'd guess Leopard will be out in late March or April; all we know is "Spring."

The new MBP revision should be out in May.

As soon as Leopard ships all Macs will have it installed. There is a great Leopard thread that you can muse about ship dates in.
