Took a bullet in a mugging in Brazil. Apparently it's still running.

Well if you read carefully, it says that it took a "bullet." And it goes without saying that it really did "take one for the team" LOL

I think that is one of the most rarest of occasions but nonetheless it happened. Keep in mind people that this won't happen on every bullet firing situation!

Don't go around replacing your kevlar yet!

MacBook Pro takes bullet like a champ - Engadget
Two questions:

1) Will you get it fixed
2) I am concerned if you close it, it may not come back on.

Yeah, it's not mine. I just read the story and found it quite amusing. I tend to stay away from muggings. Anyway, I wouldn't let a Mac take my bullet.

I remember the rumors about the Titanium PowerBook taking a bullet and still working. I guess this settles it, even if it's aluminium.
