Guys, I'm having a problem.

I have a PowerBook G4 and an external firewire / USB Lacie disk. This external HD has one firewire 400 port and 2 firewire 800 ports.
The PowerBook has one 800 and one 400.

So... I wanted to conect a camera to the PowerBook and capture video in the Lacie Disk. Considering the cables I have, I could use the firewire 400 from my PowerBook to conect the camera and the firewire 800 to conect the HD. The problem is: when I conect the HD using its firewire 800 and the firewire 800 from my PowerBook, the external disk is not recognized. I made a test conecting my HD using it's firewire 400 port to the firewire 400 in my PowerBook. The HD did WAS recognized. Same thing using it's USB 2.0.

So, can anyone answer me how could be possible the HD be only recognized by using its Firewire 400 or USB and do not be recognized by the Firewire 800?

Just to make things worst: I've made a test conecting the HD using it's Firewire 800 port to a Firewire 800 port from a PowerMac G5 and the HD worked properly. Detail: it was the same cable I was using with the PowerBook.

Please help.
What's the matter?

Here is the Lacie disk:

You could try resetting your PMU on your Powerbook. How you do that varies from model to model - search the Apple website to find out how for your particular model Mac.
