After the update my C2D Macbook Pro 2.16GHz is acting weird. I am currently at work and connected to our network via ethernet so I can't fully test this.

When the airport card is turned on the airport process uses almost a gig of ram and maxes out the processor. I can turn the airport card off and it still maxes out the processor and ram. I have to kill the process in Activity Monitor. I will see how the process runs when I am at home and can connect to my wireless network. Maybe the airport process always takes up that much ram and processor power when it is looking for a network??? Seems high to me.

Anyone else experiencing this?

This is not normal behaviour.
Do you have any VPN software setup by any chance?
Log in as another user and check for it.
