I have Windows XP on my Macbook and it responds lightning fast... I have a fairly new computer and it doesn't respond ANYWHERE near as fast as XP on the Macbook... so I was wondering... what are some specs for a straight up desktop PC that will run and respond as quickly as the Macobok?
This is what I have on the current system and it has a pretty sluggish response time sometimes:
AMD Sempron 2400+
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard
1 Gig RAM
120 Gig 7200 RPM HD (only like 40% used)

Get a PC with a Core 2 Duo E6600 or E6700, enough RAM, a big 7200 RPM SATA HDD and a decent GPU. That should be a good deal faster than the MacBook.
Or just forget about the PC altogether, hook up its monitor to the MB, and use that for XP.

He might be looking to make a gaming machine. In which case, sell the MacBook and use the money you'd buy the PC with on a new MacBook Pro.
