hey guys

my powerbook seems to be running a bit to hot for my liking.

iStat nano claims that the computer is running at about 57 degrees and the fans also never seem to kick in...or at least i never notice them.

is 57 degrees hot? or is that about normal? The case also gets very hot underneath by the battery...but apple said they couldnt change it as it wasnt one of their listed powerbooks.

Help would be good so i dont have to trail down to manchester to get it lookd at!
HI

I never measured my 1.67 G4 PB's temp, but all my PBs have been hot to the touch when used heavily. My 17" C2D MBP is the least hot yet; the G3 Wall Street was the hottest.

There are a number of temperature monitoring utilities. Temperature Monitor 4.11 displays the temperature of your internal temperature sensors and also the specified upper limits for your system.
