I have my macbook pro, c2d, 2 gigs of ram, set to require a password after the screen saver comes on. After the screen saver comes on, it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute and a half for the username/password box to come up. The time I have to wait almost seems proportional to the time the screen saver has been on. I am running quite a few programs including the latest parallels/windows xp . Any help would be appreciated.

What screensaver are you using, how much RAM do you have and do you hear any disk thrashing while this is going on?

I just discovered that the delay was because I was attached to an active directory domain. Once I unbinded it, everything is fine.
