I had installed Vista Home Premium on my Macbook for a lark. I opened Bootcamp Assistant today and restored to a single disk and removed Vista.

Now when I start up my Macbook, there is a 'question mark' that shows up for a brief period. I inserted the original Macbook startup disk and ran disk repair. Yet the question mark persists for a few seconds.

Any suggestions?

Go up to the Apple icon, down to System Preferences, click Startup Disk. Highlight your hard drive. Your Mac has gotten confused about what system to boot from, since you only have one system, your Mac figures things out pretty quickly!
