Hello all,

Well, I've posted a couple of times on here in my search for some advice on buying... Old LC520 owner, then Dell POS for years, and now... My brand new 2.16 GHz, 2Gb RAM, 120Gb HD silver beauty! Installed Office, iWorks, .Mac, and in the two days that I've had it, it's been a blast!! Right now, I'm even watching Casino Royale in the lower corner while emailing between BBC World news readings... I couldn't be happier! Absolutely no problems with it (it took a bit to figure out how to get the MSN updated file into the dock and erase the desktop icon as well... i know, amateur... but hey, I've been mind-numbed by the PC world for the past 10 years, so I've got a valid excuse!)

So, thanks to all for answering previous posts regarding my indecision between the MB and the Pro - the extra 600 bucks I believe was well worth it... and I can't wait to continue discovering what this puppy can do! What a world I've been missing!

Talk to you all again I'm sure... And to anyone wondering whether or not to do the switch from PC to Mac. Well, let me just say that it's like the scene in the Matrix, when Neo and Trinity blow through that cloud layer into sunlight for the first time. Amazing, and you'll truly not want to ever look at windows again!

Cheers,

GS

I know you said you dont want windows but if at any stage after your euphoria stabilises and you think you need windows again you can put it as a dual boot.

happy hacking!

Congratulations! The MacBook Pro is a sweet computer. When I graduate HS in 2009, I'm gonna get a MacBook Pro. Hopefully we'll have 4 cores by then!
