What's the 'acceptable' temp for my MacBook's HD and CPU? I have a widget that shows them at about 30o / 60o C. I'm assuming that's good. It will go up to 45 / 80 with certain programs. But what should be the limit and for how long of a time?

sounds about right to me. mine idles at about 55-60°C and the fan kicks (audibly) at about 75° in some processor intensive times. it's been doing this for a year with no problems, so i would assume your values are within standard operating temps.

My MacBook runs at about 90C under heavy load (200% of CPU) and 50C idle.

I tend to idle at about 60C on the CPU.

What widget are you using that had hard drive temperature?
