I just want to say that I love the new look...haven't been here for a while so I didn't know it changed :-)

Anyway, I had to send in my C2D mbp for the second tiem because the screen had a wierd white spot that was very big and obvious. I tried to just ignore it but I couldn't take it anymore.....as much as this machine cost, I want it to be flawless!!

Plus, there was this wierd gap that had emerged and widened right above my optical drive...so much so that I could not even eject CDs without fear of them getting stuck :-( . The guy at the Apple Store said that it looked like some kind of prssure caused this disformity and that the warranty would not cover it :-( but he included it in the notes anyway.

Well, I sent the computer in last saturday and I got it back on Friday and I am happy to report that 1. the screen looks MUCH MUCH better and that the ppl at the repair center actually did repair the optical drive for no extra charge!!!! I'm glad about that....I would have otherwise had to file a claim with Safeware and see if I could get it fixed. I'm so glad that it closes properly with no gaps and the screen is beautiful again!!!!

I just wanted to share my good experience and thos eof you with problems try to get whoever is processing your repair to mention stuff that may not be covered anyway because sometimes, apparently, they will be nice and fix it anyway.
