I see a lot of threads about exterior cleaning for powerbooks, but nothing about the deep cleaning i have in mind.
I want to get all the gunk out of the crack between the cover (the one with the keyboard, not the screen) and that gray plastic piece, and i figure the best way is to remove that cover. And while I'm in there i can use compressed air to clean the fans and any other dust bunnies in there.
So how do i crack this thing open and successfully put it back together?
last time i tried opening it, i gave up because the clips the screws were attatched to were a to get back in the right position to put the cover back down. Is there a guide or something you can refer me to?

When it fills up with dirt, time for a new PB..... Like Apple feels the iPod should be replaced every 2 years... that's why they made battery non user replacable!
If you don't buy a new MB Apple will run out of customers!

To minimize forcing dust into nooks and crannies, vacuum first before blowing.

Not on this machine - you have to disasemble it to get the keyboard out iirc.
