I just bought a macbook pro and am having some problems with it. The icons and the background on the screen are all in abstract colors. There isn't a start up noise as well. When I open on of my video projects, the colors on that are also strange. When I restart the computer, everything goes back to normal..
Would appreciate any help or thoughts about it.
thanks.

I would definitely send that back. Especially if you just got it.

Check your settings under Universal Access, in System Preferences. If you set them again and they fail to "stick" try deleting the preferences file under ~/Libray/Preferences.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

Do the colors look like they are all Inverse Colors of what they should be? You could be in the High Contrast mode. Try pushing Apple + Option + Control + 8.

I'm new to this message board, so I hope the pics come out all right, but here's what my vid first looks like...

and here is how it's suposed to look like..

I tried the contrast thing, and it wasn't the problem, and didn't know what to change the system preferences back to...but if I waited a while the computer would change back to normal....
thanks for ya'lls help, this is my first mac so I'm not sure what's going on with it.
