I cant watch any videos from you tube or anything.

Everytime I go to flash side and do the update, it always says I dont have a particular plug in. I have no idea who it got messed up. How can I fix it?

What browser are you using? Try reinstalling it.

You could be having an issue because of a corrupted file and in this case you may have issues re-installing.
The best thing to do in this situation is to use Spotlight and remove all traces of Flash and then go to Adobe's website and download and install the latest version.

Belongs in the software forum. Download, install, and you should be in business.

Yeah thats what Ive been attempting to download. When I does, it takes me to the adobe flash page, saying "plugin missing, click here to download". I click, and it lists adobe flash player as the plug in, i click in install, and it says install failed, download manually. i go to manually download, and all it does is dl the same installation file u linked me to. this sucks.

Don't understand the problem. Have you run the downloaded installer from the Finder? It won't magically run itself you know.

Yes I run it, and it installs. After installing, it automatically opens up Safari, taking me to: Adobe - Flash Player

On this page, there are two links/icons reading "Click here to download plugin", and an alert in my browser saying "Additional plug in required to display all media on this page". When I click to download the plug in, it brings up a new window, in which it says "Plug In Available: Adobe Flash Player". I click continue to install the plug in. The process runs in the same window, and then displays "Conlcusion: No Plug Ins were installed. Adobe Flash Player Installation: Failed".

At this point it gives me the option to "manually download" the plug in. However, when I click the link to do this, it simply brings me back to my starting point, http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...ShockwaveFlash.

Okay, I see. In Safari, go to Help -> Installed Plugins. Is there an entry for "Shockwave Flash"? To rule out corrupted preferences/user files, it'd help if you created a new user, and tried running Safari from there too.

Nothing there for Shockwave.

And I'm having trouble creating a new user...

Have you tried other browsers? There's gotta be a way to fix this other than reinstalling OS X.

Check System Preferences > QuickTime > Advanced, is "Enable Flash" unchecked?

And read what MacFixIt has to say on the subject.

It doesn't sound like you read my post. I recommended for you to use Spotlight and remove all traces of Flash on the system. Restart and go to Adobe's website and try it again. It's uncessary to go to extreme measures such as reinstalling OSX just for this one thing. But if that wasn't helpful, install your OSX disc and go for it.
