I have my powerbook (10.4) plugged into external speakers and use itunes as my primary music source.
When music is playing, and I leave the laptop running, but physically close it, the music stops.
Can I keep itunes playing (through the headphone jack) when I close my laptop?

Your Mac goes to sleep when you close the lid. That's why it stops playing.

Disable sleep and it'll keep playing. Altough I'm not sure that you can even disable sleep when closing the lid. I don't have an Apple portable anymore so I can't check this out. And my iMac doesn't have a lid
