Looking for a factory-refurbished (or even new) iBook G4 12". Basically, I want something I can get AppleCare for, to guarantee through the next 3 years.

I know Apple's online store has them (the refurbs) in stock sometimes, but I was wondering who else might still have them. I recall seeing the 1.33GHZ 12" model for $700 last month somewhere, but I can't find it now. Suggestions?

(Actually I'm seriously considering a refurb. Thinkpad X40 - with Linux - if the iBooks are no longer available at a reasonable price. I don't suppose anybody has a good idea about how to slim down an iBook by 1.5 lbs, and extend the battery life to 8 hours?)

Thanks. I guess I may have missed my window of opportunity. Apple now has most of their refurbs. listed, but no iBooks, not even for $800.
