As of Thursday, I am the proud owner of a new 2ghz white macbook

The only problem is that there is a lump on the track pad. It feels like a grain of sand is under there & whilst practically invisible to the eye, I'm finding it pretty annoying.

Is this sort of stuff covered under warrenty? If it is, is it worth taking it to an apple store to get fixed or is there a chance of other things going wrong if I let some tech loose on my new pride & joy?

I had the same problem on my brand new MacBook. I took a nail file and smoothed it down.

They will fix it for you with a new top case within a year or you can exchange the whole computer for a new one within 14 days or purchase.

A new one sounds good to me. I only see to be able to get 90 minutes out of the battery too (WiFi web browsing, screen brightness set to 1 bar).

I'll phone the Apple store tomorrow
