So after I installed that Macbook battery update thing I checked my battery levels via iStat and it's at 88% after 199 cycles and I've had it since July 06. My question is is how low does it have to be for it to be faulty and need changed? I don't wanna go to the store and get told there's nothing wrong with it.

My understanding is that the health of the battery can be improved by calibrating it again!!!!
MacBook Pro 2.2 i7 | 4GB | 128GB SSD ~ 500GB+2TB Externals ~ iPhone 4 32GB
Canon 5DII | EF 24-105mm IS USM | EF 100-400mm L IS USM | 50mm 1.8mkII

I did that and it actually went down by 1%. You mean when you let it go completely flat and then charge to full again? I did what it says on the Apple website and like I said the battery health went down and not up.

I would expect to see that type of performance. After nearly 200 cycles, 88% of original capacity, I think, is pretty good.

I think that by "low capacity," Apple means something less than 50%. If you were affected, you would have seen battery capacity jump from 50% to 88% of original capacity.

(But I'm speculating)
