I'm hoping to get one of the $1299 refurbished MacBook Pros--around how often do these appear? I remember seeing one a couple weeks ago, but I don't know if it's rare or not, and I want to get one before the beginning of June.
Also, what are the specs on the $1299 ones? Is it same as the current baseline $1999 one (15 in., 2.16 GHz Core2 Duo, 120gb hd, etc.), or something else?

Refurbs come and go and change specs, check every morning before 8 AM. We may see a flurry of refurbs now because MBP updates are likely soon.

Appearance is pretty much random; they put out whatever gets returned.

If I recall correctly, the $1299 model is the 15" Core Duo (2 or 2.16Ghz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, 128MB underclocked graphics, etc).
