Hi all,
I am using PowerBookG4 and the 60GB HD has failed. The new HD 120GB

has just arrived. I've done my homework on finding more about it but yet still confused about Serial ATA vs. ATA drives. Should I go ahead and replace it or it may not be compatible?
Please, let me know.

They have different connectors. Only newer Intel-based machines have SATA connectors, all older mobile Macs which run OS X have ATA connectors.

If it's the same price, go with the bigger cache. The cache is a very quick memory area and can speed up certain operations on the computer.

Depends on which model of PowerBook G4 you have since some models only allow 9.5 mm high.
