I have a powerbook G4 15" that was almost completely submerged in water. I dried it completey and took it took the apple store and they tried to tell me the logic board is fried. However the computer is working fine, I actually have it connected to a cinema display and am it using right now. However the screen is showing a negative image (similar to that of photo film) and has several bands going through it of light and dark. I think it may just be a problem with the screen because the computer itself is running fine. I have used photoshop etc. on it with no problem.

Remove the LCD panel and see if you can get it any drier. It sounds like you have water inside the panel somehow.

Contrary to what people believe, there IS a middle ground between totally fried and working fine.

Being that your computer is mostly working now, there is a good chance it will definately fail at some point. There's no way to tell what kind of time table you have. Accidents don't always kill the computer right away, but they do significantly shorten the lifespan of a product.

The video problem you have is one of three things: Logic board, cables, or LCD. Taking out the LCD to get it "drier" is not going to help. There is a damaged component in one of those three.

I would say keep using your computer as it works now. When it stops working... get a new computer. No point sinking money into a lost cause.
