So, I have had my macbook pro for about a year now, and just the other day I noticed when I click on an iChat buddy or if I am on the internet, my computer will make a clicking noise. Sometimes it will happen often when I am not even using the mouse, just when I am reading a webpage or something and sometimes I could be clicking for a while and not hear it at all. Its not coming from the keyboard or anything, it is coming from the computer itself. Has this happened to anyone else/how can this be fixed?
Is it a coincidence that I just had to get a new charger for my macbook because the old one wasnt working, so I just started using this new charger?

It could be the fan, do you have fan control to test to see if its the fan or not?

Huh! Well, if you want to rule out the charger, use the machine without it for a while and see if your computer clicks. (Be sure to set your battery Energy Savings settings to be identical to your charger ernergy settings.)
But I'd like to hear more details about this click. Does it sound like a ping-pong ball bouncing on a table? Most of Apple's newer laptop drives make that noise periodically. It's normal. There is also an extremley subtle processor whine with a lot of MBPs. But usually it goes silent during periods of processor operation (like when scrolling along a page in Safari). It doesn't usually create a click.
Where does the sound come from? Does it always happen when you click on specific things? Does it happen more when your machine is warm? How about during periods of intense hard drive access?
You might want to install MenuMeters to monitor your hard drive. That way you can see when your hard drive is being accessed, and how much.

First, BACK UP. Then, see if the cliking sounds is coming from under the trackpad.... if it is... it's your hard drive.

Run AHT. If it's the fan AHT should report it. There were quite a few MBP fans that went south.
