my macbook is ~9 months old.

some time ago i noticed problems with CD/DVD burning (it still reads fine data and video DVD as well as all CDs)

CD-Rs: recognized correctly, but impossible to burn "the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured, code 0x8002006D)

DVD-Rs: almost all of them are simply NOT recognized. it spins for a while then drive spits it out, never appears in Finder as untitled dvd. sometimes shaking a macbook, hitting it a little on the back helps and DVD goes recognized as blank and i can write. sometimes not.

is the drive dead?
or a lens needs cleaning?
or what?
