Hi,

I just got a MBP and when I first plugged in my external HD, I could see it... I copied over some files and then my computer started acting up... it ended up freezing finder and I had to shut it down. I booted it up again and now I can't see the external HD. I've done this a few different ways and it won't read it. The lights are coming on on the HD so I know it's not the cords... I plugged it into a PC and it works... any way to fix this without formatting the HD and if not - what's the best way to format?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

USB? Firewire? SATA? ATA? Try Disk Utility (Utilities folder) to repair the drive? More info needed...
