Well, I just upgraded my HD with Fujitsu and I got a really good deal on this one, I bought 120GB/5400 rpm and total cost me only $80 plus tax (after rebate), bought it at frys. I see that the speed of my PB is obviously faster than before (standard 40GB).

Why bother with rebates when the price should be less than $80?

Fujitsu has been making pretty good 2.5 inch HDD lately. If you want the absolutely fastest however Hitatchi wins in all RPM categories for laptop HDD both SATA and ATA

Your first link is just some domain squatter filled with ads.

Assuming you mean how long until Apple adopts 10k/15k RPM drives for laptops, it's going to be qutie a while. Note they burn 3-7 times as much power (ditto heat output) as the 7200/5400RPM drives.

yup hitachi is fastest, not only in performance but also in dying. My hitachi drive was one of the most short lived one I ever owned, about 6 months lifespan
