is this ram fine? I currently have 256 mb ram, would the upgrade to 640 make a big difference? I really want a macbook but can't afford it currently. I will probably upgrade early 08.

Yes that is the right memory, but Crucial has it for a lower price with free 2 day shipping.

Yes, 256->640MB will make a noticeable difference, especially if you're running memory-hungry Tiger.

oh also how easy is it to install? do i need some special screwdriver? if so can i pick one up at radio shack? or a hardware store? if so how much do those run? Thanks!

I still see $59 on both of your links.

It's a pretty easy upgrade and a normal Phillips screwdriver is all you need. Directions here.
