I have a MacBook that was bought when 1st released and have not had any problems with it. Of course original warranty is gone and 2 days ago the fans just run non-stop (& fast) when not shutdown or sleeping. I remember that there were issues with this last year, but haven't heard anything recently. Any comments or suggestions.

I have restarted and have all current software updates installed.
The fans are even doing this with no programs open.

Did you install anything new or updated in the last few days, or start using something new?

Nothing new. No programs, websites or anything like that. After it started doing it on Friday I did go ahead and install all the software updates that were showing in software update (Security Update and Quicktime) this weekend.
