I bought my MacBook around June 15th and was going to be heading into the Apple store in a few days to get Apple Care for it. But around November my first computer died, so Apple gave me a new one. On Apples support page there's a thing where you can put your serial number in and it'll tell you if you still have support and it says November for me. So do I really have till November, or is June 15th still the cut off?

Typically replacing the computer will not reset Applecare, but they may have made an error in your favor. Don't count on it though!

Yeah... would be worth a trip to an apple shop just to make sure!!! Make sure you get it tho... its just saved me 798GBP

They usually ask for proof of purchase. Apple Care starts from the date of purchase. I had my imac G5 replaced under warranty, and the warranty expires for my new intel imac 3 years from the date I bought my imac G5.

apple should start the plan over from the day that the macbook was replaced and you had it in hand.

No that's not the case, Apple's warranty is from the date of purchase not any replacement date.

They told me you get a min of 90 days. If you warranty expires 30 days after the replacement - your warranty is extended 60 days. If you warranty expires 100 days after replacement your warranty is expired.

(Does that make sense - being at tech ed surrounded by 12000 windows laptops ... my reasoning is being impacted....)

Well if that's what Apple told you, I would guess that's right. I think applecare is worth getting for laptops.
