so remember that annoying sound coming from the first gen macbook pros? well apple decided to replace those users boards, but my question is will they replace the board if there is no warranty on the laptop?

i never put a warranty on this thing (i know, very stupid) so its been a year and i haven't even replaced the logic board (mainly cuz i work in a noisy environment)

so could i still replace it? i mean it was a type of recall right?

I don't think it was a 'real' recall (like with CPSC involvement) like the batteries were, but its worth calling to see if they'll still fix it.
