Hi!

I have an iBook G4 that has been in a box for a year and now it won't take a CD or DVD. It's like there's no power to the drive, or there's a CD already in it but it doesn't show up on the computer. I can start a disk gong into the slot but it hits something solid and won't suck in. What can I do?

Have you tried letting the mouse button down while starting up the computer? Also, can you see the optical drive's info on System Profiler?
