It won't accept any CD's and I'm pretty sure there's nothing inside. I tried to force one in, the drive man some spinning noises and pulled it out half way.

Now what? My macbook ran out of warranty last month.

Not sure about Combo drives, but there were a bunch of MacBooks with defective Matshita Superdrives (search the forum for the specific part number). If that's the case with yours, you may be able to convince Apple support to fix it.
