does the top edge (near the middle) of your track pad move up and down when you press down on it? it doesnt seem to move when i press anywhere else. Also the click sound of the track pad buttons is different on the left and right side The left side sounds more hollow..and the right side sounds more like a mouse button click.

I dunno about the clicking (I don't think I have that preference on) but I did check out the top middle part of my trackpad and yes, it does come down a bit. But I didn't notice and don't think it is of real concern. Great now I got a little something tiny stuck in there.

Yes it does move a little bit. That is because there is a small hallow area between where the HD sits and where the battery is. There is nothing right underneath, if you notice, it does this in a vertical line from the bottom of the case to where the keyboard starts. As far as the clicking sounds, it is just normal wear on the mouse. You probably broke it in better on that side. That is if you are referring to the natural tactile click, not a artificial noise that the OS makes.

I noticed this on my Moms 14 inch iBook 1.33 SD:
The middle of the trackpad bows upward. The right and left edge stay put. Once bowed, if you press down on the center, it moves down flat again (with a slight crunchy noise) but then after a day or so it has bowed back up. It functions fine, and I have meant to bring it in to an Apple store to have it checked out, but havent gotten around to it. By comparison, my friends 12 inch iBook 1.33 does not have this issue at all.

yea, the actual button clicks differently at different ends of the button. And the trackpad bows upwards towards the middle. Do you think apple will fix these issues? I really don't like how the trackpad button clicks.. something like this doesnt happen to the keys on keyboard or trackpad buttons on my other laptops. I don't see why it should happen on my macbook
