All I can say is Wow,

Wonderful screen, nice even bright, very good. I'm very pleased with it. Doesn't seem to run too hot, 40 to 60 range but I haven't put it through its paces. I'll be loading aperture, and CS3 on it this weekend.

Highly recommended.

I selected the matte screen, but the glossy did look nice, however I go my fill of the glossy screen from my Macbook which will be going up on eBay this weekend also. First I want to make sure this baby is problem free before I put that up for sale.

macosnerd, where did u buy your 15"? from Apple or a cheaper vendor? any suggestions of where to get a better deal than ordering from Apple? And what about the warranty, if i buy it from anywhere else but Apple would I still get the warranty? Thanks

I bought it at the apple store.
The prices are virtually the same regardless of where you buy it. Some online merchents include rebates (like amazon) or free upgrades (a printer for free or something).

The Apple warranty is no different wherever you buy it. And that goes for Applecare too. Rest easy.

I never wanted to spend the extra $350 for applecare... Still have a 1yr parts+labor warranty and 90 day phone support. =/

Grats on the new macbook! I just got mine too. I feel the same way.
