Hi, I have an iBook G4 which is 4 years old now. I had 3 year warranty on it and near the end of that 3 years I had the motherboard, ram and touchpad all replaced.

I have been using it again for the last 2-3 weeks and it has been working fine, but all of a sudden after waking it up from sleep i had a kernel panic screen. Now each time I try to boot up I get the same kernel panic on boot (while the apple logo is on screen).

Funny thing is however, if I remove the airport express card, it works fine, put it back in and I get the kernel panic again.

Any ideas? This machine is quite useless to me with no airport !

and I was just telling everyone how useful my iBook still is after all these years...

The iBook is still very useful--but you might think about doing an archive and install of the system software.

It's also possible that the airport card has gone bad. If you know someone with a card that you could swap in so as to test this theory, that's what I'd try first.
