I dont have apple care and am out of range for it.
Soooooo what can I do to fix this stupid optical drive to play normal again?
Could it just be a motor inside of the disc drive ?

I think what you could do is go on Ebay and see if anyone is selling the drive. Otherwise you could take back to Apple and see if they could repair the drive if you have Apple Care, your desperate measure would be to buy an external optical drive.
