Does Apple give specials on the 4th of July?, I'm asking because as some of you know I'm going to the US on Friday 29th and I'm wondering if I should wait...

Thanks

M-80s are a class of large firecrackers, sometimes called salutes.[1] M-80s were originally made in the early 20th century by the U.S. Military to simulate gunfire; later, they were manufactured as fireworks. Traditionally, M-80s were made from a small red cardboard tube approximately 1½ inches (3.8 cm) long and 9/16–5/8 inches (1.4–1.6 cm) in diameter, with a Visco fuse coming out of the side, holding approximately 2½–3 grams of pyrotechnic flash powder.

seriously though i don't think they'll have any fourth or july specials. I'd try and get a student discount and the free ipod nano if you can still get that deal.

The only time I have ever seen Apple Stores give a discount on a holiday is on "Black Friday", the day after Thanksgiving.

However, Apple Stores put all the equipment that has been returned with no mechanical problems on sale on the last weekend of the month (except for the times when it's the first weekend of the month). (You'll have to call them and ask when their next fire sale is.) It's real hit-or-miss what they have, but you can get some really sweet deals, especially if new product was annouced in the previous month. When the Core 2 Duo MacBook Pros got announced, my wife picked up a Core Duo MacBook for an absolute steal at one of these Fire Sales at the Apple Store in Rochester.
