Other than the processor updgrade? I'm trying to decide between a 2nd gen black macbook with 2.0 C2D and a 3rd gen black macbook with a 2.16 C2D. If the only difference is the .16ghz more and slightly more HDD space, I think I would rather save a few hundred bucks and get the older model. However, if there are any differences in quality or battery life, then I would opt for the newer/better one.

Thanks.

The superdrive is 8x vs 6x. In my expieriance though (search for a post from me from a fe days ago), it turns out that a 6x drive is actually the PEAK burning speed, on the outside of the disc. Short story is, you'll turn 3-4 x if you burn a ful disc, not the advertised 6. I imagine the 8x drive would average out ot be 4-5.
