OK My macbook warranty just expires 2 weeks ago and in my luck, my macbook starts acting up. My problem is everytime I turn it on it shuts off after 5 mins. this is either stand alone battery or plugged in. And it keeps doing that for maybe 10 times. Until it will finally settles. Anyone has the same problem or recommendations of what i need to do.
Also I just recently upgraded my HD to 120gb and 2gb memory. I dont think this is the cause of it.
shoot after doing some research here at the forum i am one of those victim of "macbook random shutdown"... i just hate the fact that this is an ongoing issues here for mac. how come i never heard other pc's with the same problems... AHHHHHHHHH what a curse from apple!!
i had the same problem. There is an issue with the heat sensors. It thinks it is too hot so it shuts off. Open the Software Update, and download all of the available updates. If that doesnt' work, Take it to the apple store.
nah my sister & fiance have the same problem with their desktop PC.... i would say 3 times out of 4 it has something to do with hardware than software. And 75% of that time its the power-supply or heat related. I think you can be sure its not your HDD or RAM that has caused this problem, but making sure everything is well-placed couldn't hurt.
