hey i have an ibook g4 with 513 memory and 40 HD i was thinking of getting 1gb memory but im not sure if i should get 2100 or 2700 is there a difference which one is better for my ibook. I have no idea how much HD to get i was thinking 60 to make it 100 but im not sure if it works like that?

PC2700 will work, PC2100 may work if it's an older iBook... you'd have to tell us the size and CPU speed to know for sure.

You only have one hard drive, so you could replace your 40GB with a 100GB if you wanted that. The upgrade is do-able, but a huge pain to do.

Then you need PC2700.
