iBook HD won't mount in external USB2 enclosure

	I pulled the original 15GB hd out of my old and busted iBook g3 (ice), and put it in a USB2 Adaptec enclosure (this one) It spins up fine, but won't mount. Disk Utility spins its wheels, and won't show any device until I unplug the enclosure. It shows an empty mount point under /Volumes/ System Profiler shows the drives specs. I've tried various CLI mounting tricks (mount_hfs etc), but nothing works. Anyone have ideas how to get this sucker mounted? Thanks..
