I'm hoping to find some ideas on how to resurrect my faithful iBook as a wireless file server.

It runs fine, I can boot it in target disc mode, but the graphics card (this is my guess) is shot. The screen does not work nor have I been able to get it to power up an external monitor (granted, I only tried once and it was on a fairly old monitor but the monitor itself worked though it did not get signal from the iBook).

Is it possible to boot the iBook in target disc mode and have wireless access to it? Or would I need to make a disc image and then boot it up from that new disc image (of course, I'd need to pre-set networking and sharing settings somehow...).

Any ideas? Thanks!

I saw that, and that's actually what got me to thinking about resurrecting my old iBook. Ripping apart my iBook is much beyond my meagre mechanical skills and my biggest question is how to set up my iBook to be wirelessly accessible.
